Volunteerism at its Best!
The Woodstock Museum is a non-profit corporation that since its inception in August 1969 has relied entirely upon the good graces of volunteers: Docents, Board of Directors, & Officers; and the wonderful Community of Woodstock, Virginia.
JOIN US! If you are a history buff, or even a history buff wannabe, with some spare time on your hands, please Contact Us. No experience necessary!!!
We are always happy to have new faces & ideas! There are openings for Docents, Board Members, & Committee members.
What's a Docent, you ask? A museum docent is a volunteer who has an interest in history, old stuff, or just wants to learn about the same! Docents are the people who greet visitors to the museum, and ensure the museum's doors are open May through October.
There is no experience required, and new docents are always paired with ones who knows the ropes! All we ask is one day (from 1 until 4 pm) per month May through October. If you would like to volunteer more often, no problem!
Email today if you would like to volunteer or just schedule a visit during open hours to see what it's all about:
